Project Kent

This project was the complete renovation and design of a very steep and long railway embankment that ran along the boundary of the garden.

Extreme level changes were overcome by creating curved and straight timber sleeper retaining walls along the embankment, with steps providing access to raised seating areas and view points that look back across the garden.

Large expanses of ornamental planting and ground covers will knit together to provide seasonal colour and break up the sections of timber retaining walls. Acers, bamboos, flowering shrubs and perennials, rockery plants and grasses combine to create interest all year round.
