A garden with steep level changes away from the house. New terracing at the top by the house provide spaces for an outdoor dining area, an outdoor barbeque space and a central area linked to the kitchen with an outdoor bar shelf and stools.
Steps lead down to a mid-level lounge area, and a new rockery constructed with a mix of large rocks and rusted mild steel sections retain the levels and create steps, while sun-loving shrubs, perennials and grasses offer year-round interest and softening.
Monolithic stone steps in gravel lead down to the informal sloping lawn, which is edged with steel. Planting beds surround the lawn and at the bottom of the garden an existing moon gate is a focal point and shade tolerant woodland planting provides further interest.
