A new extension cut into the existing garden and meant the garden and the levels had to be readdressed.
The main area is a raised dining and entertaining terrace with integral fire place, log store and low retaining walls. Wide steps allow easy access through the garden and the views out to the garden from the new extension are uninterrupted creating a link indoors and outdoors.
Cottagey planting helps to soften the hard surfaces and create some height and enclosure. A small water feature acts as a focal point amongst planting and provides the sound of running water to the main terraces.
Views to the open fields beyond are maintained from the main terrace and the raised lawns.
