A village garden incorporating a mix of formality and informality.
To the front a new gravel driveway, including access to the newly built garage block, leads to the formal planting softening the house. To the back, large terraces, decking and a fire pit provide plenty of areas for entertaining and relaxing, with planting creating all-year interest and colour. The lawn was completely remodelled and levelled, with the removal of a very large, raised rockery. Salvaged dry stone walling snakes through woodland planting on one side of the garden.
Materials used were sandstone, hardwood decking, timber sleepers, dry stone walling, gravel and rocks.
