This garden evoked traditional themes and materials with a modern twist. The Victorian townhouse was reflected in the use of brick edging details, sandstone paving, box edging and the retaining of the more mature trees. Curved patios, brick footpaths, archways and informal seating areas allow different views down the garden and back to the house.
A working garden with traditional greenhouse, raised beds, trained fruit and storage was incorporated at the back of the garden, screened by a beech hedge.
Other elements include a circular camomile lawn, topiary and hedging, traditional perennial planting, focal points and pots around the garden.
