The cerise pink planters were colour matched to the kitchen splash back and surfaces.
The block planting is more minimal close to the house using a lower number of plant varieties concentrating more on texture and form, and then further away to the lower lawn and the upper lawn the planting is more perennial based and colourful for all year interest. Beech hedging helps to define the different garden areas, provide screening and shelter to the different terraces and lawns, and screen various areas of the garden such as the vegetable garden, the stable block and the paddocks.
Hard materials and surfaces are kept to a limited palette, with the same large unit sandstone used for the paving, wall cladding, copings, steps and fireplace.
A circular summerhouse provides a destination further away on the upper lawn.
