A new build, open plan modern house with expansive terraces and patios to reflect this. A covered terrace off the house is central to the design, with low walls and wide steps leading up to other patio spaces. Planting beds soften the garden and add height with multi-stem shrubs and pencil topiary. Planting mixes formal elements such as topiary and low clipped hedging with drifts of softer perennials and grasses for colour and texture.
Paving, walls and steps are all clad in the same sandstone for a minimal finish, with some gravel areas for a change of texture.
The garden leads up to an open lawn, a play area and an orchard, and is surrounded by native boundary hedges and clipped beech hedging to divide the garden.
